ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Eunmee Kim is an abstract artist based in Edmonton, originally from South Korea. Her creative journey began in architectural design, and after moving to Canada in 2012, she worked as a graphic designer while continuing to explore her passion for art. In 2019, she discovered her love for abstract painting and has since committed to a steady, evolving practice.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Working primarily with acrylics and more recently expanding into mixed media, Eunmee creates visual expressions that reflect her emotions, thoughts, and memories. Although not bound to specific subjects, she is often drawn to organic shapes, a sense of movement, textures, and vibrant colors. Her process is intuitive, yet she continually seeks balance and harmony among contrasting elements, resulting in works that are both dynamic and evocative.
